I know these boards are free, but I'd be happy to sponsor, for at least a year, a domain name (www.123innings.com) and hosting under a couple of conditions:
- we convert to a better board like the latest version of phpbb - you let me suggest a bit different layout for forum categories/topics
I just hate these boards.
BUT, I'll live with them if you don't want to accept my offer.

I don't love the boards as they come...that's why i've tried to do alot of customization to them to make them better, both look and feel, with the baseball smilies, etc. Now that i've put all the time into setting up the categories & topics, working on the header, colors, etc....i don't think i'd want to put all that time back into it and throw away all the time i've already spent. I would have gladly done it before though, but when our old commish disappeared i kind of just stepped up and i didn't want to mess with installing my own bb on my own servers.
Thanks for the offer though...just wondering, you didn't mention what you hate about this board. I'm usually not a fan of free boards...but i've used and installed many bb's for clients and i don't find these that bad at all.

It's cool, just thought I'd offer. I'll survive. Thanks for the offer though...just wondering, you didn't mention what you hate about this board. The most current one: you can only view the 10 most recent posts, whether or not you've read them or not. Also, the PM system - hard to access on these boards, and hard to see if/when you have a new PM. I've used proboards a few other times, and they are just generally lacking IMO. At any rate, the offer still stands if you change your mind. Thanks for the being the commish, I know it's a thankless job.

The reason i ask is that there are a ton of hacks and code samples that can fix some of the annoying things about the board. I'm happy to implement any of them if you find any that will make the board more user friendly. I already used a couple for the header to make it look better. You can see the you have x messages at the top and i guess that's the best way to check if you have any pm's. The coding board can be found at www.proboards.com, then go to forums, then coding forum. Just let me know if you find anything else that will make it a better board. John

It's cool. I wasn't aware of how much time you'd already put into mod'ing this board, or I wouldn't have brought it up. No worries.
