More clarification on votes
1. You may pick up any minor leaguer not on another teams farm system. You must keep them on your MLB roster, but at the end of the year you can still keep them as a minor league keeper
2. You may pick up any minor leaguer not on another teams farm system. You may then immediately demote them to your farm system if you have an open roster spot. If not you may keep them on your MLB roster for as long as you'd like.
3. You may only pick up a minor leaguer if and after they pass the "rookie" status threshold of ab's or ips'. this ensures there will still be some good MLB ready talent in the minors draft each year.

Question about #3: Does that mean I can sit by my computer watching a rookie phenom's 130th AB on TV, and as soon the AB is over, I can click the submit button on Yahoo's add player page? Seems kinda weird. Especially since there is no way to know/record/check exactly when the phenom got his 130th AB. Just something to think about.
Question about #2: If I don't have an open spot in my farm, can I drop any of my existing farm players to make an open spot?

In response: I guess if that if the league prefers #3, which right now that seems to be the way the vote is going....this needs to be settled. Considering your point that there is no documentation of the exact time a player has a particular AB, i guess the only fair thing to do is make that player available for pickup at midnight the night that it is verified they have passed the threshold. (for example - a player is 2 ab's short going into the day and they have 2 official at bats already)...at midnight EST that evening they can be picked up. That is the best i can come up with....West coast games may be a bit tight on this but we'll do the best we can with monitoring it.... On #2...if that passes, I'd say no, no dropping from your minor league roster, only if you call up a player will you have an open spot to demote another. And they can only be demoted before they pass rookie status.... This is getting tough

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that option #1 (not what I voted) sounds better and better all the time. Simply pick them up as you would any other MLB player. Easiest and the most painfree, especially for the commish.

Yeah...that is starting to be my concern...the tracking and accountability. I might have to pull a 'veto' even after the vote after a bit more thought....after all i am the 'decider' We'll see how this shakes out and i'll try to do the most fair thing for the league that won't cause too much headache.

After reading the discussion between Moonshiners and Gumbinators agree that #1 is the best option the easiest to track.

I like the format. It is used in another league I am and it works very well. I am not sure how things a have been done in the past, but this looks like it should work well. Only thing I am stuck on is the 4-7 MLBs. Is the mininum 4 with the max of 7? Or can we keep up to 7? That is one of my questions.
My other other question is the farm team. I am in other leagues with Farm teams and I absolutley like it. Do ya'll have a minor leauge free agent draft? Also, can also,p can minor be picked up during the season. For example, in my other league I was lucky enought to pick up Mat Gamel on waivers on CBS... I don't know Yhoo does it but I am sure I will figure it out. Gumby invited me and I look forward to see him in the rear view mirror, occasionally back backing over him to make sure there is no life..... I kid kid, I am glad to be here.
Also, is there an constution I should become fimilar with. Let me know somebody.
